Born in Granada in 1993, Antonio Gomez began playing the violin at the age of 5 and continued his studies at theConservatory of Granada, then at the Victoria Eugenia Royal Conservatory of MusicEugenia, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in 2016. He then perfected his skills in Vienna before joining the Haute École de Musique de Genève for a Master's degree in modern violin, followed by a second Master's degree in baroque violin, under the direction of Florence Malgoire and Chouchane Siranossian. Antonio Gomez collaborates both as a vilinist and violist with renowned ensembles such as Capella Mediterranea, Gli Angeli and the Royal Opera Orchestra of Versailles, and participates in academies and masterclasses with leading figures in early music such as Chiara Banchini, Sigiswald Kuijken and Enrico Gatti. His dual training in modern and baroque violin gives him great stylistic versatility.He is currently devoting himself to research into historically informed improvisation through his ensemble Les Extravagants, thus contributing to a lively approach to the rediscovery of early music heritage.
