Biography
Berlin-born Sophia Salinger studies baroque violin with Elisa Citterio at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, having completed her training on modern viola at the Berlin University of the Arts. Devoted to historical performance, she has played at the Musica Antiqua Festival in the Concertgebouw Bruges and the Chigiana Festival in Siena, and has been a member of the Ensemble Baroque Berlin. She has appeared as a soloist with the Mozarteum Baroque Orchestra and in chamber settings at the Salzburg Domquartier. She has taken masterclasses with Chiara Banchini and Leyla Schayegh.
