Biography
French lyric baritone Félix Le Gloahec trained at the Conservatoire de Grenoble before completing his Master's degree in Concert at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in 2021 in the class of Frédéric Gindraux, receiving guidance from Véronique Gens, Jean-François Lapointe and Bruno Di Simone. That same year, he joined the Opéra Studio de Bienne and studied with Daniel Gloger. A member of the Opéra de Lausanne chorus since 2018 and the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne since 2020, he also performs as an oratorio soloist, notably in Mozart's Requiem and Dvořák's Stabat Mater. A finalist at the Kattenburg Competition in 2022, he has distinguished himself in a wide range of operatic roles, including Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte (conductor Jean-François Rivest), the Flemish Deputy in Don Carlos at the Bühnen Bern and Theater Basel, Escamillo in Carmen, and the title role in Barabbas, a creation by Andreii Maksimov. In 2026, he creates the role of the dog in Les Dinos et l'Arche by Thomas Leininger, conducted by Leonardo García-Alarcón at La Cité Bleue in Geneva, and portrays Adrian von Bubenberg in the world premiere of Charles-l'Opéra by Jimena Marazzi (conductor François Voeffray). Félix Le Gloahec has also embraced the baroque repertoire, most notably in the role of Cithéron in Rameau's Platée.
