Will Kim

Korean American Baritone June Young - Will Kim received his Bachelor of Music from Indiana University Bloomington with a double major in composition and voice. He also holds a master’s in composition from HMT München and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Composition from HMDK Stuttgart. Since 2022, he is pursuing a master’s as a singer at HMDK Stuttgart as a student of Yeree Suh and Angelika Luz. He also studies Lied with Gerold Huber in Munich. Other important voice teachers he worked with include, among others, Dawn Upshaw, Peter Harvey, or Patrick Grahl.

As a soloist, he performs both traditional concert or opera repertoire and contemporary music. Recent engagements as a soloist include Bach’s large oratorio works with Jos van Veldhoven, Hans-Christoph Rademann and Kathy Saltzman Romney in Stuttgart, a production of La Traviata in Sulz am Glatt and Die Fledermaus in Tübingen.

In 2025, Will Kim will be performing at Tanglewood Music Center 2025, where he will sing under the baton of Andriss Nelsons, perform Bach cantatas with Harry Christophers & The Sixteen, and will take on a role in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges.
