Biography
Born in Kyiv, Ilia Korol is an internationally acclaimed violinist, violist, and conductor, widely regarded as a specialist in Early Music. Following his studies at the Moscow Conservatory, he moved to Austria in 1997. Having performed as concertmaster and soloist with prestigious ensembles such as Musica Antiqua Köln, the Orchester Wiener Akademie, and Musica Angelica Los Angeles, he co-founded the orchestra moderntimes1800 in 2003. A recipient of several Diapason d’Or awards, he appears on the world’s most significant stages (Carnegie Hall, Mozarteum, Theater an der Wien). A dedicated educator, he shares his expertise through masterclasses in Vienna, Moscow, and Los Angeles.
