Based in Amsterdam, Wilton Huang specializes in music-making on both “da braccio” (violin, viola) and “da gamba” historical instruments.
Currently studying with Shunske Sato and Sayuri Yamagata at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Wilton Huang previously earned a Bachelor of Music and a Professional Studies Diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, his hometown, and earned his master’s degree at McGill Schulich School of Music. His teachers include Wei He, Cordula Merks, and Axel Strauss.Although he is now an established historical instruments specialist, Wilton Huang enjoys a diverse performance life, performing with ensembles worldwide in various genres and settings. Wilton Huang is also studying bow making under bowmaker Andreas Grütter.
