"Pierre-Baptiste Brioude began playing the Renaissance lute at the age of 8 in Céline Ferru's class. Then, he studied with Pascale Boquet at the Tours Conservatory, where he obtained his Diploma of Music Studies in June 2021.
Pierre-Baptiste Brioude currently combines his studies of the lute and theorbo at Lyon CNSMD in the class of Rolf Lislevand with numerous concerts. He performs with diverse ensembles such as Doulce Mémoire, Compagnie Outre Mesure, Les Sonadori and Les Traversées Baroques. He has also created shows with Les Turqueries and Les Lunaisiens and made several recordings with the ensembles Les Ombres and Musica Vera.
Since 2022, Pierre-Baptiste Brioude and the violinist Enesh Dzhanykova have formed the Cordes-Liées duet, an ensemble that promotes the unfairly forgotten works of Italian composers from the first part of the 17th century such as Biagio Marini, Andrea Falconiero, Marco Uccellini et Giovanni Battista Pandolfi Mealli."
